Art for climate education and adaptation
For UN World Oceans Day and Earth Day 2023, Students from several environmental organizations installed Rising Waters Fish Flags along Commonwealth Avenue in Boston. The installation piqued the curiosity of pedestrians at rush hour along this busy stretch of campus. They stopped to read the messages on the flags, and commented on how much it helped them understand the depth of the threat, as well as educating them about actions they could take to mitigate climate change.
